Coosa Country Club (CCC) is a premier private country club located just outside downtown Rome, Georgia.  Established in 1909, this historical club has been recently updated to address the changing needs of a gracious, family-oriented membership.  At the center of all the activities is the 42,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with amenities that include member dining spaces, a member's lounge, fire pits, fitness center, banquet spaces seating over 500, plus a pre-function living room area.  The clubhouse is surrounded by and 18-hole golf course, year-round golf learning center, aquatics complex with splash pad and a 220,000 gallon swimming pool, and 11 outdoor tennis courts.

Food & Beverage Program

A la carte dining venues at CCC include The Greenside (seats 90), The 1909 Room (seats 50), Lounge Bar (seats 32), and the newly renovated SPLASH Pool Pavilion (seats 60).  CCC serves as the perfect venue for a wide variety of events from weddings, banquets, and cocktail parties to corporate meetings, seminars, and golf outings.  The Alhambra Ballroom seats approximately 350 people and there are four additional private rooms that can seat up to an additional 150 people.

About the Position

The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef with overseeing planning, ordering, scheduling, supervising, training, food preparation and execution for all outlets, banquets, member events and other functions at the club with a focus on ensuring that food offerings are of exceptional quality, and that cost parameters are consistently met.  The successful candidate will possess the ability to strive in a fast paced environment while sharing responsibility for all food operations including casual, adult and poolside dining, the staff dining room and special events.  This position plays a critical role in department leadership, setting a professional example for the Coosa Culinary Team as it relates to meeting Club objectives and membership interaction.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Culinary Atrs degree or a Culinary Arts certification
  • A minimum of one to three years of experience as a Sous Chef
